Allergies are very common, especially in the UK and in children. As a foster carer, it is crucial to know how to manage and help with a child's allergy. Allergies can pose a serious health risk, but with the right knowledge and tools, the risks should be avoidable. In this course, we will provide you with information about allergies and how to help a foster child if they have them.

We will cover:
- What allergies are, and how they are grouped.
- How you can identify an allergy and understand the difference between an allergy and an intolerance.
- Why children develop allergies.
- How you can reduce the risks.
- Possible treatments.
- How to help the child to live safely with their condition.
